Poem for "The Wind of Change"
"The Wind of Change" Acrylic Painting 2015
After my last blog post, I wanted to feature this painting for my this blog post.
I wrote a poem to illustrate the meaning behind this piece, and I hope it blesses you.
I've also been working on some new jewelry designs, combining my artwork into necklaces. I'm really excited about this, and I've been inverting the colors on my paintings as well, before turning into wearable works of art. Here is the way "The Wind of Change" turned out.
And as promised, the poem for this piece.
I hope it blesses you.

The Wind of Change
The seasons are changing
She feels it in the wind around her
She sees it with the end of the road
Coming to a place in life
Where there seems nowhere left to go
She Kneels
Knowing this is out of her control
She lifts her hands
Extended, palms open-
Completely letting go
But in the process of letting go, she realizes
She's exactly where she's meant to be
For her hands, now open, have found freedom-
The freedom to fully receive.

"Remember not the Former Things, Nor consider the things of old.
Behold, I am doing a new thing; Now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
I will make a way..."
Isaiah 43:18-19
