The Wave

The Wave. Acrylic Painting 2016.

This year has been the biggest year of my life- and there is still so much more to come.
Me and Shanen often said this year feels like one giant wave as we stepped out in faith on so many different things, learning to trust God in so many new ways.

Before painting this piece, I heard a song while listening to some spontaneous worship from Bethel.
The lyrics said "the wave that was meant to crush you, would be the wave that lifts you higher."

When I heard that, I was going through a time where I was definitely feeling crushed.
Especially that week.

But I could feel the presence of God upon hearing those lyrics, and I chose to believe.
That's when this painting was born.
A wave- terrifying, yet holding so much beauty.
I knew when painting this, that I would not drown in this season, or all that the year held-
but I would have a really fun ride.

With all of my paintings, prints are available.
Feel free to contact me if you are interested.

My dream is for my paintings to encourage and inspire others,
as I feel God inspires me while painting them.

So whatever you are facing in life, whatever wave seems to be swelling around you about to crash down- believe that this wave is one God is using to lift you higher- to new and greater things.
