Child Sex Trafficking in our own Backyards...

So I went to a short film showing last week for an organization called Stop the Candy Shop. The film was called 'The Candy Shop' and it was a short fairy tale about children forced into sex slavery in Atlanta. Yes- Atlanta. Not India, not even Asia⦠here in our free country of America. Again, these are CHILDREN FORCED into sex slavery. I'm not going to say it was a pleasant film, but it was very well made, and very eye opening. I tried finding it on youtube to post on here for others to see, but sadly I couldn't. But, if you go to www.stopthecandyshop.com, I think you can see it there. I am so glad there is an organization raising this awareness, because I had no idea it had gotten this bad.
-500 underage girls are forced into sex trafficking-just in Atlanta- each month...
(that is 16 girls a day!)
-These girls are usually around the age of 13⦠some as young as 9.
-These girls are raped by an average of 7,200 men.

During the discussion after the film they listed 3 very popular streets in ATL where child prostitution was found. Sadly as soon as one is found and shut down, more go up. I think it's time we stop looking the other way and pretending this isn't happening. Seriously⦠check out the website, and if you can, definitely watch the movie.
