Republic Day Picnic

Yesterday was Republic day- so many people were off work and celebrating. We celebrated with some local friends from our church here by going to their picnic on the beach. We had so much fun. We played games, sang songs, flew some kites, had lunch, and just played out on the beach.

Stillbow is the pastor of this church… he is around 28/29ish and he is a riot! He is constantly cracking jokes and just being silly and making people laugh.

My favorite part of the day was when we were all sitting down and singing/playing instruments. We sang a few english songs (like God of this City) and then they sang one Hindi song. I loved watching everyone play along. We had 2 instruments, a guitar and a drum, yet people found things like coconuts, and empty plastic bottles to make music out of. It was one of those moments where you just look at everyone and think 'Thank you Lord for putting me here.'
